Photographing architecture is a puzzle solving problem for me. Working with the ponderous view camera and all of its enforced discipline, balancing light against shadow to tell the story of a structure has a very soothing almost zen like calmness for me. I know the solution is there, camera angle, time of day, if I am just quiet enough the answer will come to me like a gift. And the picture will ring with the harmony of its elements. |
